This is a very cute vintage crinoline dress made of white polka dot patterned red faille taffeta.  The dress appears to have been seamstress made.  The dress is sleeveless, with narrow shoulder straps, a pleated white bodice and circle cut full skirt.  The bodice has “stays” in it to stiffen the top and the back of the dress has two tie straps that one would tie together to cinch the waist.  The skirt of the dress is posed with a crinoline to create a full 50s look, but no crinoline is supplied, although there is an attached underslip with tulle bottom.  The dress does up the back with a nylon zipper. This was more likely made after the 50s using old fabrics - whether original or made later, this is a very credible looking 50s style dress.

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit keeping in mind the style of the dress and the tiny waist:

Bust: 34”, around, taken under the arms

Waist: 27”, around

Hips:  Full

Overall length: 43”, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odours.
